Amazon Web Services to Invest Nearly $9 Billion in Singapore, Expanding Cloud Infrastructure and Services

Amazon Web Services announced it will invest nearly $9 billion in Singapore over the next five years to grow its cloud infrastructure and services in the country. This new investment will go towards constructing and building AWS' data center capabilities in the Asia Pacific region based in Singapore. AWS first launched its Asia Pacific region in Singapore in 2010, marking its first expansion outside the US and Europe. Since 2010, AWS has already invested over $8 billion in Singapore's cloud infrastructure and ecosystem.
