00:39 that is modified for persons with disability.

00:42 This is the reason why this is a big help for our PWDs.

00:47 We can see that its elevation is just right and its slant is like this.

00:58 Meet the brains behind this innovation,

01:01 the Las Piñas Persons with Disability Federation, Inc.

01:05 During calamities, when there are storms and disasters,

01:10 it is hard for them to be rescued because there is no proper vehicle for them,

01:16 especially the wheelchair user.

01:18 With the help of the Pinoy Innovation Academy,

01:22 a project of the Center for Disaster Preparedness Foundation,

01:28 the construction of A-Trams was funded in 2023 out of 69 entries.

01:31 A-Trams was included in the top 3 innovation and the rest they say is history.

01:36 God is so good and it is one of the reasons why we ran.

01:41 We had the opportunity to modify a vehicle of the barangay.

01:47 It took several months because the roof is not just a joke,

01:53 the inside is also nailed.

01:56 One of our most important criteria is that it needs to address a problem

02:03 that really comes from the community.

02:06 Now, there are 2 A-Trams in the community.

02:10 It is not just for persons with disability,

02:12 even senior citizens can use this.

02:17 They can go to the barangay and request a vehicle.

02:19 They can use it.

02:30 We can see the flooring here, they call it conveyor matting,

02:34 so that our wheelchair doesn't move too much.
