Ferrari Challenge NA - COTA 2024, Race 1 Highlights

00:00 Over 100 cars, something like 130 here at Kota for Ferrari Challenge North America.

00:07 And the first event in the 2024 calendar gets underway.

00:12 And first to show of course the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli drive us in the new 296.

00:18 So the mix of Trofeo Pirelli and Trofeo Pirelli AM drive us,

00:22 really fighting very hard during the course of the race.

00:26 It was going to be a brilliant drive for Dylan Medler to take first honours for Trofeo Pirelli.

00:31 And for Pirelli AM it was Brian Cook who would be victorious.

00:34 And Dylan Medler was certainly congratulated by a number of the team from the collection,

00:39 as you can see. So well done to Dylan Medler.

00:42 Next up it would be our Copa Shell drive us.

00:44 Once again our mix of Shell and Shell AM drive us that would take to the track.

00:48 And Cyril Csoksy had qualified P1.

00:51 However, the start was not brilliant for him.

00:53 And Jan Bernier was able to take advantage of that and put himself into P1.

00:57 However, Cyril Csoksy was determined to get back and retake that lead.

01:01 Unfortunately, Neil Langberg ended up in the barriers.

01:04 And that would bring the early curtailment of that race.

01:08 So Cyril Csoksy then did take victory for the Shell drivers and for the Shell AM drive us.

01:14 It would be Talal Sher on his debut to take P1.

01:18 The 488 Challenge Evo, which has been the car of the Ferrari Challenge for a number of years,

01:22 also got the opportunity to shine on this Cota circuit as well.

01:27 And a big number of those cars across Pirelli and Shell

01:31 were out there to really enjoy this Cota circuit.

01:34 And enjoying it more than anybody else, Massimo Pirina,

01:38 the Ferrari of Seattle driver, taking a victory for the Pirelli drivers.

01:42 And Matt Dalton in the Shell drive us was victorious in his category.

01:47 And was congratulated, as you can imagine, by everyone associated with his team

01:52 in the paddock. So that's day one of our Cota weekend done and dusted.
