00:00 One day before the deadline for the consolidation of the PUV, the Piston and other groups in the Supreme Court

00:07 filed an amended petition to stop the PUV modernization program.

00:11 Can the Supreme Court TRO the Piston and other groups before the decision is made?

00:15 Because if the franchise is cancelled, even if we win the petition, can we still get it back?

00:23 In the amended petition, some groups are demanding that the PUV modernization be violated by the drivers and operators.

00:31 They also want to cancel the new department order and memo of DOTR and LTFRB

00:37 that were issued after the petition was approved in December 2023.

00:42 The court said that the Piston and other groups' petitions are still under deliberation.

00:49 As a consideration, LTFRB said that they will accept even minimum requirements

00:55 to be submitted by those who want to consolidate.

00:58 But until today.

01:00 We will give them six to nine months to at least comply with all the documentary requirements.

01:09 But in the meantime, just to show proof that they are sincere in their request to join the government,

01:20 we will just allow them to have at least the minimum requirements.

01:25 The cooperative petition has been approved and they are cooperative.

01:30 In the meantime, they can proceed with their ORCR.
