Rapscallions set to open in Port Solent

Rapscallions are expanding into Port Solent during May 2024.

00:05We are at Rapscallion's Tortuga in Port Solent. It's one of our new venues.

00:08Brilliant. Tell me why Port Solent. If you pan around you'll see water and boats.

00:14It's pretty perfect for a pirate rum cocktail bar. Yeah the views are great.

00:20Obviously our other venue is in the middle of town so it's great to have an outside

00:24space to show everything that we can do. Big open windows so people can see in and you

00:29can see out. And a big space so we can put more of a show on which is great.

00:33So tell me when you're looking to kind of open this new venture.

00:38We're still waiting on suppliers but hopefully for the bank holiday weekend. Yeah fingers

00:43crossed. Keep your eye on socials for when we open announcements. So yeah hopefully soon.

00:48And tell me is there anything different to this Rapscallion to the one in South Sea?

00:53Well take the one in South Sea and just times it 100 on what we do.

00:57We're not on steroids. The food menu is obviously a bigger option because it's very food led.

01:04We have focused a little bit more on the family aspect of things. Obviously being in Port

01:08Solent there's a lot of families so we've got stuff for the kids here. But then it turns

01:12into a proper Rapscallion's late night as usual. We've got a separate playlist. Daytime

01:16and evening time. So yeah family friendly during the day. And a little bit more wild at night.

01:23I understand that you have quite a unique cocktail or sharing cocktail. Tell me a little

01:29bit about that if you can. Well it's called Shark Attack. It's the South's biggest sharing

01:33cocktail. We've just decided we need a bigger boat in that actually. It's a lot of fun.

01:40It comes out to the Jaws soundtrack. It had to be Jaws. It had to be Jaws. I did all the

01:44playlists and it just had to be Jaws. Fabulous.
