00:09smoke, chug chug, yeah beautiful trains. The problems? Problems, I don't really know,

00:20I didn't use the train very much, I lived in the backwoods. Were there a lot of strikes,

00:26do you remember? I can't really remember, I mean nothing like we have today.

00:32There must have been strikes, I'm guessing. Can you remember? No, nothing like we have now.

00:39You could at least rely on a train I think. I think the perception now is you cannot rely

00:46on British Rail or anywhere kind of rail. They've lost faith, that's what they do.

00:52Well we have a friend visiting from Dorset and she's travelling back from Preston

01:00on the day there's going to be strikes. We think she's travelling.

01:05You know it's, I just think it's atrocious. Even now when you're planning a trip to London

01:13you think will there be a strike and a couple of times we've gone down on National Express.

01:19Yeah, there's no trains. If they could run the rail complex the way the Supertram runs,

01:31they'd be fine. A lot of cancellations, a bit unreliable trains at the minute aren't they?

01:37Very unreliable, yeah. What's your memory of British Rail?

01:42Er, a lot more convenient then than they are now with strikes obviously and things.
