Conservative candidate for the London mayoral elections, Susan Hall, is quizzed on her plan to make London net zero. Hall said "I'm a mayor who gets the basics right."

00:00The mayor's plan really was virtue-sickening because he can't do it without certain things

00:08going through Parliament. It would cost an absolute fortune which he doesn't have.

00:46contribute to it without it absolutely making us all bankrupt quite frankly.

00:51Would you at least look to bring it in faster than the government's 2050 target in London as mayor?

00:57We'll have to look at it and see what we can do. There are very many different things that you can

01:01do and you can use different bodies and charities to help but Sadiq Khan, it's just virtue signals

01:07because he thinks it sounds good. The electrification of the bus fleet,

01:11Sadiq Khan has promised to bring that forward to 2030 I believe from 2034.

01:16It's also something you talk about in the manifesto but you don't set a date on it.

01:19Do you have any idea of whether you'd match Sadiq Khan on that?

01:22Let me get things clear. Things that are in my manifesto I know I can and will absolutely deliver.

01:31Other things that I will deliver will please people but because I'm not 100% certain when I

01:36can deliver them they won't go in there. I want people to start realising if I say I'm going to

01:42do something I will do it because people are sick to death of politicians promising the world.
