Could TikTok be banned in the US?

Legislation has been passed which could see TikTok banned unless the platform's China-based owner sells its stake within the year

00:12 stake within the year. The legislation was supported by 360 to only 58 against. US politicians

00:19 say ByteDance is a threat to national security. Congress has suggested they sell the app to

00:24 what it calls a trusted owner or to completely leave the US. TikTok`s biggest market with

00:29 some 170 million users.
