00:00 Yes, the aim of the government is to bring in legislation which will effectively mean anyone born after 60 is able to buy cigarettes at any time.
00:09 It's the idea of being able to purchase the product in this country.
00:12 I wouldn't be going to the washing machine if I was born in this country.
00:16 Okay then Brenda, what do you think of Parliament's decision then to ban people from being able to buy cigarettes after 2009 if they're born then?
00:24 Taking away our human rights. Nobody's got to be able to tell you what to do. It's a free country. It's not their choice.
00:32 It's my choice if I want a cigarette. It's my choice if I want to buy them.
00:36 And people born after 2009, what happens when they get to 40s and 50s? Are you going to tell them then they can't? Disgusting.
00:42 Okay then Luke, so what do you make of the decision by Parliament to bring this new law in which basically means that people born after 2009 won't be able to buy cigarettes?
00:51 I think it's a good thing for the younger generation not to get into the habit really of smoking.
00:57 But I'm trying to really hopefully give up anyway because the costs are rising in the cigarettes so hopefully in a few months time I'll be packed in anyway so I think it's all around a good thing.
