00:00 Dr. Mahathir Mohamad says there is no evidence to back up claims that he had accumulated

00:08 In a statement today, Mahathir noted that it had been a year since he had sued Prime

00:12 Minister Anwar Ibrahim over the allegation.

00:15 However, Mahathir said he was not guilty of accumulating billions of ringgit because Anwar

00:20 has yet to show any proof of his claims so far.

00:24 Last year, Mahathir filed a 150 million ringgit libel suit against Anwar, alleging that the

00:29 latter had accused him of enriching himself and his family members.

00:33 He also said a notice issued to his son Mirzan by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission

00:38 claimed that the former Prime Minister had committed an offence under Section 23 of the

00:42 MACC Act which deals with abuse of power.

00:46 Mahathir then called on the anti-graft agency to provide any evidence it had on the offence.

00:51 Last month, Mirzan and his brother Moghzani revealed that MACC had ordered them to assist

00:56 in an investigation into their father.
