00:00A car smashed into a recently refurbished toilet block in Garstang at the weekend.
00:04The public loose off the High Street were left in ruins after the car ploughed through its brick
00:09walls at around 4.30pm on Saturday. The driver and passenger were taken to hospital with minor
00:14injuries, said Lancashire Police. No one was arrested, added the force.
00:19Regeneration Chiefs say support is available for residents who have to leave their homes to
00:24make way for the £65 million multiversity development. Blackpool Council's Planning
00:29Committee has approved an outline application for the construction work for the scheme
00:33and also given the go-ahead for demolition to make way for the new campus.
00:38Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after a woman and two children
00:42were injured in a collision in Salterforth. The driver, a 35-year-old woman and two passengers,
00:47boys aged three and four, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
00:51Thankfully they are not thought to be life-threatening.
00:54Police have issued an appeal following a dangerous dog attack in Wigan.
00:58A man and his dog were injured on Cantsfield Grove in Ashton on Thursday 4th April at around
01:043.35pm. They were attacked by two grey dogs of an unknown breed who were dangerously out
01:10of control and being handled by a woman. A Lancaster teenager stranded in snow on
01:15England's highest mountain considered going to sleep because he thought it would be a
01:19less painful death. Ben Longton set out with his dogs to get to the top of Schofield Park
01:24on March 1st. However, at the summit, the 18-year-old lost the path down and made the
01:29near-fatal mistake of trying to descend via a treacherous ravine known as Pears Guild.
01:34Thankfully, his father had reported him missing and he was winched to safety more than 19 hours
01:39later. And finally, the weather. The region looks set for an unsettled spell of wet
01:44weather and showers and sunshine this week.
