Leeds United star Archie Gray picks up the Championship Young Player of the Year award in London at the 2024 EFL Awards. Gray beat Jon Rowe of Norwich City and Jordan James of Birmingham City.

00:29 It must be a bit of a whirlwind, because ultimately you've been this young pup coming into the season,

00:33 all the games under your belt, and to knock you numbers over the Premier League, has it been a whirlwind for you?

00:37 Yeah, it's been a pretty crazy season, you know, I'm lucky to have the manager that trusts me as much,

00:44 and you know, as a young lad coming into the season, I've only played a single game.

00:48 So yeah, just really lucky to have the team-mates and the people around me.

00:52 One of the standout moments for you this season must have been your involvement in the goal of the Leeds in front against Leicester,

00:57 and Everton early in the season. Unfortunately, they got taken off you and put down with an over-goal,

01:02 but still, to play your part in a moment like that, and saw the celebrations afterwards, which were absolutely wild,

01:07 you knew how big a moment that was, that's got to make you hungry for many more like that.

01:11 Yeah, I'm just glad I didn't over-celebrate, because I would have looked like an idiot.

01:15 I'd have been upset about that if it was an over-goal, but yeah, I've never really witnessed a crowd like that,

01:21 and I'm not going to forget it, because I was a young child, so yeah, I'm pretty proud of it.
