00:44 Oh my gosh! This was so, uh, it was riveting.

00:50 It was, it was, it was educational and it was entertaining as well.

00:53 But there was so much passion around that Passover scene.

00:56 So I want to go ahead and get started with this.

01:00 Of all the projects I have worked on, this project made me feel what?

01:05 The most I've ever felt.

01:07 Aww, that's lovely.

01:10 Yeah, it was like a, like no job I've ever done.

01:12 Out of all the projects I've ever worked on, this one made me feel, that was the blank that we fill in?

01:17 Um, very, oh God, I'm trying to find the perfect words because you said the perfect thing.

01:25 Um, it made me feel very lucky.

01:28 Uh, oh, look at me throwing in the title.

01:31 The Lucky Ones.

01:33 Um, it made me feel very lucky to be telling a true story that is so powerful, but also the experience of making it was really amazing.

01:40 You all built so much behind the scenes chemistry as well.

01:43 Last night, Logan was saying how you all never stopped working.

01:46 And this was something that was authentic chemistry.

01:49 Um, Georgia even said that you guys, it was almost as if you were carrying the baton.

01:55 Each actor was doing their best to give the baton to the next actor in line.

01:59 How did you all manage to build so much chemistry on and off the screen?

02:03 Honestly, I think Tommy Cale, the director, who I think is a great bringer together of people.

02:10 Um, we started off, we had a few weeks before we started shooting, and he was like, we're going to have dinner.

02:16 We're going to have dinner every night, and we're just going to get to know each other.

02:19 So by the time...

02:20 We just never stopped hanging out.

02:22 Yeah, by the time we got to that passover scene, we were all sort of a family.

02:26 Like, truly, we never stopped working, and when we were done working, we never stopped hanging out.

02:30 Like, it was like we became like family, truly like family.

02:33 And it was just really a remarkable connection that we all shared. It was really special.

02:39 I understand the impossibility of getting home, but we will find a way to be together again.

02:46 We must organize.

02:48 We've lived here for a thousand years. We know this country, this land.

02:52 I want to do what you're doing.

02:54 But if you get caught, it jeopardizes all of us.

02:56 I'm aware of the stakes.

02:58 What was the hardest scene, or maybe the most challenging scene for you all to shoot, even if that goes into further episodes?

03:06 Oh yeah, it gets pretty challenging as the episode's going.

03:10 It certainly doesn't become easier for the characters.

03:12 There is a scene that I'm not going to give away anything, what happens, but there's a scene, I believe it's an episode 7?

03:18 I'm getting a little bit confused, but you know which one I'm talking about?

03:21 Yeah.

03:22 Yeah. Where we share a moment that was like, it was one of those days where we, like, I got back to my apartment after work,

03:30 and I was like, I felt so emotionally drained, but also so fulfilled because it was such a, like, a great filming day,

03:38 and also such a beautiful and heartbreaking scene to film, and like, it was such a challenging day,

03:44 but it was one of those days where you're like, oh, like, I feel like that was such a special part of the show,

03:48 and I'm glad I got to be part of that.

03:50 Yeah. That day, also, there was also rain, it was starting and stopping, it was like, everything was conspiring.

03:58 So you do know exactly what day I'm talking about. I thought you might, but I was like, that was just proof in the pudding.

04:03 There was, you know, a beautiful, you know, moment where we're seeing, you know, Helena, and we're seeing,

04:09 or we're hearing that Oli's trying to make Passover, and he's like, you know, trying to come,

04:12 and they're like, you can't do it because Germany's already invaded Poland,

04:16 and I wanted to get you all some personal experience when it comes to your own family traditions.

04:21 Is there a family tradition that you would never want to miss, and that you would do anything for to get there,

04:27 and make sure that your family sees you?

04:29 I like that question.

04:30 Yeah.

04:31 It's a good question.

04:32 Do you want to answer that first?

04:34 You go first, because I'm still thinking.

04:35 So, I feel like, for me, celebrating, I'm not a very religious person at all.

04:41 I'm Jewish, but I'm not religious, necessarily.

04:44 But I think that any opportunity to get my family together is just so important to me.

04:50 And I love all the holidays, and Yom Kippur is one of those ones for me that feels so special.

04:59 And I'm not always home for it, and it really breaks my heart when I'm not home,

05:04 and I'm working for it, because I just really love breaking the fast with my family.

05:08 It's like the most exciting meal, because we're all so hungry, and we all cooked for it,

05:13 and we all get together, and I just find it to be a really special one.

05:17 Do you break it with a vodka?

05:18 What? Do you?

05:19 Yeah, break it with a shot of vodka and a bit of pickled herring, which I actually don't like at all.

05:24 I'm sorry, I can't do herring.

05:26 But wait, I'm going to--I love this.

05:29 Okay, okay.

05:30 New tradition, alert.

05:32 How about a ride?

05:33 Where's your car?

05:34 What? I'm not going to get on that thing like one of your makeout girls.

05:38 They don't all make out with me. Okay, so like 95% of them make out with me.

05:42 Before I wrap up, I have to ask you this, Joey.

05:44 Why are Kissing Booth trilogies not a stain on your resume for you?

05:48 Oh, that's a good question.

05:50 Why are they not a stain on my resume?

05:52 I think that when I think about those movies and how much joy they brought to so many people,

06:00 I feel really proud.

06:01 I was also so young when I made them, and it was such like a dream to kind of be in a movie

06:06 that were like my favorite kinds of movies back then.

06:08 Like, for example, like She's the Man was like always one of my favorite movies ever growing up,

06:13 and this kind of reminded me of that.

06:14 And I think that like Kissing Booth knows what it is.

06:17 It's not trying to be like an Oscar-nominated movie or this critically acclaimed picture.

06:22 And I think that's the best part about it is it's like it's meant for you to watch and just have fun, really,

06:29 and just kind of melt into the world of color and excitement.

06:33 Also, we saw you in The Act, Gypsy Rose. Wow.

06:37 We wanted to ask you, was there anything that you didn't share from that private, personal conversation

06:42 that you can remember that you want to share with your audiences?

06:45 Like what was the one thing that she said that truly made you feel like she was okay with you playing her in The Act?

06:51 I don't want to share necessarily anything to respect both of our privacies,

06:56 but I do, I really appreciated that we did get to connect briefly.

07:00 And I think that she's very strong and she's been through a lot,

07:04 so I'm happy that she's able to kind of just really live her life now in the way that she wants to.

07:08 She's doing her thing. Have you seen her? She's very vocal. She's doing all these interviews.

07:11 I know. It's amazing.

07:12 I think she also just got off of social media, too, which is another kind of amazing move.

07:17 I love that. I feel like I might kind of be the next one to do that. I love that move.
