Alaska Airlines Plane with Door Panel Issue Was Scheduled for Maintenance
  • last month
The Alaska Airlines plane with a door panel blow off mid-flight in January was scheduled for maintenance later that night. The incident on Flight 1282 from Portland to California sparked investigations that found no bolts on the door panel. Engineers and technicians had concerns before the flight, including about pressurization system warnings. Alaska Airlines said the warnings did not meet standards to immediately ground the plane. The NTSB will hold an investigative hearing on the incident in August.
