Passengers Seek $1 Billion in Damages from Alaska Airlines and Boeing Over Door Incident
  • 2 months ago
Three passengers who were aboard Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 in January when an exit door detached mid-flight are suing the airline and Boeing for $1 billion. The lawsuit claims negligence on the part of Boeing and Alaska Airlines caused the door plug to blow out, resulting in severe psychological and physical injuries to the passengers, including post-traumatic stress and bleeding ears, due to a hazardous incident on a Boeing aircraft. The plaintiffs allege the incident shows the companies prioritized profits over safety. Several passengers suffered physical and mental injuries.
