Republican megadonor Keith Rabois threatened to cut off campaign contributions to Republican members of Congress unless they support a bill that could ban TikTok in the US. The bill would force TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, to sell off TikTok over concerns that ByteDance's ownership of TikTok poses a national security threat. Rabois called support for the TikTok bill an "IQ test" for members of Congress. Rabois has previously donated over $500,000 to political groups that support Republican House candidates. Rabois said he would evaluate continued support for the NRCC based on how Republican leadership handles the vote.
