रविवार, 10 मार्च को फाल्गुन महीने की अमावस्या है। इस तिथि पर पितरों के लिए विशेष धूप-ध्यान करने की परंपरा है। इस तिथि को ग्रंथों में पर्व कहा गया है। अमावस्या पर पवित्र नदियों में स्नान करना चाहिए। तीर्थों में न जा पाएं तो घर पर ही पवित्र नदियों के जल की कुछ बूंदे नहाने के पानी में मिलाकर स्नान करना चाहिए। इसके बाद पीपल में जल चढ़ाना चाहिए और और भगवान विष्णु के साथ ही तुलसी पूजा भी करनी चाहिए।

Sunday, March 10 is the new moon day of Phalgun month. On this date, there is a tradition of doing special incense meditation for the ancestors. This date has been called a festival in the scriptures. One should take bath in holy rivers on Amavasya. If you are not able to go to pilgrimages, then you should take bath at home by mixing a few drops of water from holy rivers in the bath water. After this, water should be offered to Peepal tree and along with Lord Vishnu, Tulsi puja should also be done.
