National shuttler Thinaah’s varsity expenses covered through full scholarship

00:26 Dina had embarked on her academic journey with OUM in May 2020,

00:31 enrolling in the Bachelor of Education PASEL with Honours Programme.

00:36 The university extended full financial support to her,

00:40 covering the period from the January 2023 semester to the May 2024 semester.

00:47 The presentation of scholarship demonstrated that OUM's commitment

00:52 to making higher education more accessible and affordable for athletes such as Dina.

00:59 And we want to help Dina excel both academically and athletically.

01:04 Yeah, I think from the very beginning I really have an interest in English.

01:09 And since I'm travelling most of the time, I think English is a very important language

01:14 because it's also number one language in other countries.

01:18 So, taking this subject, I think I made the right choice.

01:23 Yeah, I think pursuing English is very much important compared to other courses as well.

01:30 I mean, all the courses are important.

01:32 It really suits how I'm going and how I'm being right now.

01:36 In OUM, everything is online, so the time is very flexible and I'm really grateful for it

01:41 because I can manage my timing well even though when I'm overseas or I'm out competing.

01:46 It's how you manage your time well. I mean, anything is possible for me.

01:50 Definitely, it's not easy to manage the time well, but for me,

01:54 my family members were there to support me along the way,

01:57 advice on how to manage my time in training and after training,

02:01 what to do, how to rest and after studies.

02:03 So, I think this is really important.

02:05 So, I hope that other athletes or other students out there can really manage their time well

02:12 and also find their family members or people they care about to support them every week.
