As Julian Assange faces a possible extradition to the U.S., protesters gathered outside the Royal Courts of Justice in London to rally support for the WikiLeaks founder during his hearings.

00:00 I thought it was very important that an Australian parliamentarian come to London,

00:05 at least for today, to bear witness at what's going on in that courtroom.

00:10 It's even more important, I think, that there's an Australian parliamentarian here to bear

00:15 witness given the events of just last week when a thumping majority of the House of Representatives

00:21 voted in favour of the motion that this matter must be brought to an end.

00:27 So that's just a furphy by the US government now to say that Julian Assange put people at risk

00:35 and perhaps even had people killed. The official inquiries say that is not the case.

00:40 He's not.
