00:08 I'm here on the ground at the BAFTAs 2024. Now let's talk about diversity within this year's
00:14 nominations. Three years after an all-white lineup of actors was nominated, this year it
00:19 is more diverse but there are just six people of colour in the acting categories for 2024
00:24 and there are no women in several categories including adapted screenplay, cinematography,
00:29 original score and sound. So how do famous faces feel about this and how can it be pushed further?
00:36 I think we always wanted to make a working class film where people weren't defined by their class
00:41 and I kind of hope the film industry can become more accessible to those kind of voices.
00:46 Continuing to support films from all different filmmakers and that also means going out to
00:54 cinemas and seeing their films and sharing them online and also if you're a voter continuing to
01:02 recognize films from so many different people.
