Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said it was great the Sven Goran Eriksson would get the chance to manager Liverpool Legends following news of his terminal cancer diagnosis.
Transcript
00:00 Jürgen, first of all, you extended an invitation to Sven-Johan Eriksson a few weeks ago,
00:04 and nice news this week that he's taken you up on the offer
00:06 and he's confirmed for the Legends game, how do you feel about that?
00:08 Great, absolutely great.
00:11 I was always convinced that it would work out some way,
00:16 and this is now really nice, a legend coaches legends, so it's really cool.
00:22 I've never been here when the Legends team played,
00:30 but I know from everything that you can use the whole facility,
00:33 train on the pitch, play in the stadium,
00:35 train here on the training ground and play in the stadium.
00:38 So everybody who is involved in the organisation tries to make it
00:43 as great as somehow possible,
00:47 and I think all the guys who show up here always enjoy it.
00:50 And now with Sven in charge, and I cannot say they will now play better,
00:56 because Kenny is the actual coach.
00:58 So now, with that experience on the bench, yeah, they should play a good game,
01:04 and I'm really happy for Sven that he can have that opportunity.
01:08 I can tell you, it's a good place to come.
