The latest scooter in the range features modern conveniences such as LED lighting, your choice of ABS or CBS brake assist, Honda Smart Key, a USB socket for charging your smartphone on the go and a clear digital display.
It also ditches the ultra-modern (but slightly bland) styling cues of the PCX 160. It also abandons the ADV 160's rugged adventure aesthetic, because that's not its purpose. Instead, the meaning of the Stylo 160 is clear from its name: Style.
At Stylo 160, it's all in the details. Colour-matched mirrors come in your choice of six colours: Royal Green, Royal Matte White, Royal Matte Black, Glam Red, Glam Black or Glam Beige. Seat, floorboard and handle accents also vary depending on the Stylo 160 color you choose.
The Royal colorways all feature brown seats, floorboards and grab handles on the bodywork that really stand out. Matte silver handle rails and additional accents complete the look and give it a stylish look. Bronze-coloured 12-inch wheels are the highlight of this equipment level.
Opt for Glam colourways instead and your look will move closer towards the modern end of the 'modern classic' spectrum. The saddle, floorboards, grab rail and handles are all blacked out. So are the wheels; If you don't want to clean brake dust regularly, it will probably come in handy.
Both the Royal and Glam colorways feature fully blacked-out concealed exhausts mounted low on the right side of the car. The forks, headlight bezels and spokes are all silver, but there's not a lot of silver on display here, which is a bit refreshing.
So far Honda has only launched the Stylo 160 for the Indonesian market, but it looks quite likely to reach other markets in Asia (and possibly Europe and possibly the US) in the coming weeks and months. Unlike some single-market limited editions from Thailand's Honda, the Stylo 160 is a new model with a mission to win over scooter users in multiple regions in 2024.
Pricing in Indonesia starts at 27,550,000 Indonesian rupees (IDR), which is equivalent to approximately US$1,760 as of February 7, 2024.
