Returning to North America for 2024, New Honda Gold Wing GL 1800 2024

Honda's top-of-the-line 2024 Gold Wing Tour Airbag DCT will come with this new Pearl White treatment but does not see any mechanical changes for the new model year.

With the long-running Tourer under the knife for 2018 for significant upgrades including a reworked six-cylinder engine, the addition of double-wishbone suspension and a serious weight loss, the only changes this year are limited to new colours. The aforementioned revisions served to increase its appeal, and incremental improvements in suspension, electronics, audio and driver amenities also helped the big Wing evolve. There was a navigation update last year, but if you were hoping for upgrades like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, or simplified handlebar controls, you're out of luck.

For 2024, the venerable Wing remains essentially unchanged, but you still get plenty of touring-friendly features like the seven-speed DCT transmission, 7-inch TFT display, navigation, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, and more. HomeLink is also an available option, along with an adjustable power windshield, Smart Key operation, four driving modes, traction control and Hill Start. The liquid-cooled 1,833cc flat-six engine returns as smoothly as ever in all trims, while the Tour version still gets the 61-litre top box with its comfortable integrated passenger backrest.

The 2024 Gold Wing Tour is available in six-speed manual or DCT trims, and this includes a new gray/black color option. The paint uses BASF nanotechnology for a “wetter” look.
For 2024, the Honda Gold Wing Tour Airbag DCT will retail for $33,000 (a $100 price increase over last year) and will only be available in a Pearl White color scheme with blackout treatment on the wheels, engine, mufflers.

Meanwhile, the MSRP of the Gold Wing Tour and Tour DCT is $28,700 and $29,700, respectively; both are available in the aforementioned Pearl White or the new Gray Metallic/Black combination, a two-tone treatment that also works with blackout. Bronze accents are also seen on the wheels engine, mufflers and other details and Engine cases.

The trunkless Gold Wing bagger is also available with a DCT or six-speed manual transmission and gets this new matte green color for 2024.
The base model, or what we like to call the Wing bagger, is also available with a DCT or six-speed manual transmission. The manual Gold Wing will cost you $24,700, while the Gold Wing DCT adds $1,000 and has an MSRP of $25,700. Both models are available in a single color; New Matte Armor Green Metallic with a blackout treatment on the lower half. The wheels, engine, cases and mufflers are all darkened, creating a nice contrast with the cool new green top.
