00:21 - With four number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100

00:23 and five number one hits on hot R&B hip hop songs,

00:26 Pharrell has been a force in the music industry for decades.

00:30 He's also created magic behind the scenes

00:32 as a top producer working with music industry powerhouses

00:35 like Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Snoop Dogg.

00:38 He won his first Grammy in 2003 and hasn't looked back,

00:42 winning 13 Grammy awards since.

00:45 - You know, when something gets really, really, really big,

00:48 eventually it has to, if it won't explode,

00:51 it has to implode, something has to happen.

00:52 And when it does, something will emerge from the ashes.

00:55 - He's had tremendous success as the lead singer for N.E.R.D.

00:59 And later as a solo artist releasing huge hits

01:02 like "Happy," "Blurred Lines," and "Get Lucky."

01:06 - Pharrell founded Black Ambition in 2020,

01:09 which funds and mentors black and Hispanic entrepreneurs.
