00:00 It was Ladies Night at the Grammys, proving girls really do run the world.

00:05 Hey, it's Tetris with Billboard News. I'm at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.

00:08 I'm gonna be running down the night's big winners, losers, and the biggest performances.

00:12 Dua Lipa opened the show with her new single "Training Season"

00:18 and served a ton of choreo.

00:26 Miley Cyrus won not only the first Grammy of the night, but also the first Grammy of her career.

00:31 Oh my god, I just got stuck in the rain and traffic and thought I was gonna miss this moment.

00:35 And I could have missed the award, that's fine, but not Mariah Carey.

00:38 And went on to perform her Grammy-winning song for the first time on TV.

00:43 I just won my first Grammy!

00:45 We also saw iconic performances from Billie Eilish, SZA, and Olivia Rodrigo.

00:54 Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Brandi, and Burna Boy brought the fun.

00:58 And we honored legends Tina Turner, Billy Joel, and Jodie Mitchell.

01:02 And this performance had everybody talking.

01:04 Luke Combs and Tracy Chapman performing "Fast Car" was a fan favorite.

01:08 When it comes to the awards, Best Music or Urbana album went to Carole G.

01:12 This is my first time at Grammys and this is my first time holding my own Grammy.

01:18 Laini Wilson took home Best Country Album.

01:20 This is absolutely wild y'all. This is my very first Grammys.

01:24 Best R&B song was just one of three Grammys SZA took home.

01:28 Can't believe this is happening. It feels very fake. And I'm like, "Hi Taylor!"

01:32 And Taylor took home her 13th Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.

01:37 And of course used the moment to make a major announcement.

01:40 My brand new album

01:41 comes out April 19th.

01:48 It's called the Tortured Poets Department.

01:51 Jay-Z was honored with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award.

01:54 And used the opportunity to call out the Grammys for never giving Beyoncé album of the year.

01:59 She has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year.

02:01 So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work.

02:05 The Big Four trophies went to Billie Eilish for Song of the Year.

02:08 That was a crazy list of incredible people, incredible artists, incredible music.

02:14 Her 2024 Best New Artist is Victoria Monet.

02:17 This award was a 15 year pursuit.

02:20 And my roots have been growing underneath ground unseen for so long.

02:25 And I feel like today I'm sprouting.

02:28 Miley got her second Grammy when she won Record of the Year.

02:36 And they ended the night with a surprise appearance from Celine Dion.
