A bird in hand may be better than two in the bush, but a lioness in the bush is the worst of them all.
In this jaw-dropping video, an aggressive lioness sets her sights on catching and devouring a juvenile blesbok.
"The young female lioness was sleeping under a bush when she was disturbed by 2 female blesbok and a juvenile," the filmer, Eric, told WooGlobe.
While the adults are able to outrun the lioness, the juvenile isn't too lucky. It trips and falls while trying to make an escape, resulting in the collapse of all its hope for survival.
"Words cannot describe this experience," Eric wrote.
