00:34 In a statement, the former DILG Secretary and now National Security Advisor Eduardo Año said

00:43 that it is weakening the call to separate Mindanao, the overall effort towards prosperity.

00:49 He also emphasized the strength of the country in the existence of unity

00:54 and any attempt to have a split should be followed by any sector.

01:01 In addition, the comprehensive peace process that started in the decades of armed conflict in Mindanao should be protected

02:33 which he said is a waste of the sacrifices made by the people for the well-being of the Philippines.

02:39 If there are any efforts of any secession or to secede from a portion of our country,

02:48 it will be not good and it will only entail chaos to a magnitude that we may not be able to handle.

03:00 So the best thing is let us be united, let us not entertain these ideas.

03:14 According to Acorda, PNP will be united to preserve the territorial integrity of the Philippines according to the Constitution.

03:37 Traditionally and historically, PNP has been part of the preservation of our country.

03:47 It is a solid unity and there is no dismemberment of any part of its territory.
