Starting off we have Cadbury World, offering a captivating tour of the birthplace of what
00:09
many consider to be the world's most iconic chocolate brand. It's an incredibly popular
00:14
experience for families, showcasing the history of chocolate and Cadbury's success. It's located in
00:21
Bourneville, founded by the Cadbury family. This model village is a beautiful little haven in
00:27
Birmingham, packed with rich history and artisanal shops. It's well worth a trip on its own, but if
00:33
you do head to Cadbury's, make sure to take some extra time to check it out. If you fancy yourself
00:39
a bit of a budding adventurer, there is of course Bear Grylls Adventure near the NEC.
00:44
It's a perfect choice for active families who want to keep the kids fit. Experiences include
00:49
axe throwing, shooting and a simulated free fall experience called iFly.

Moving back into the city now, the award-winning Think Tank Museum at Millennium Point is a great
01:05
option. It's a hands-on science museum which always sees new exhibitions throughout the year,
01:10
showcasing the feats of science and technology. It also boasts a mini-city of Birmingham and a
01:17
4K planetarium. Those looking for a challenge wouldn't go wrong by checking out Escape Live.
01:24
Situated in the city's jewellery quarter, this immersive puzzle takes players on an adventure
01:29
where they must complete a series of tasks to find their way out of a room.
01:34
With captivating storylines, it's a great escape from reality,
01:38
stimulates the mind and is a great way to build bonds with family.
01:42
Next up there's The Park Playground, a virtual reality experience located in beautiful Brindley
01:49
Place. VR has been taking the gaming world by storm the past few years, but for a multiplayer
01:55
experience it isn't suitable for most households. At Park Playground, they have the latest technology
02:01
where whole families can enter entirely new realms together.
02:04
Just around the corner there is of course the iconic Sea Life Centre, proudly housing the one
02:11
and only 360 degree tunnel in the UK, offering an opportunity to marvel at sharks and hundreds
02:17
of tropical fish. The ocean tank of a million litres houses over 2,000 creatures, offering
02:23
an unrivalled opportunity to intimately observe marine life through a range of experiences.
02:29
And of course, reopening its doors gradually throughout the summer,
02:35
there's Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The first exhibition will be Victorian Radicals,
02:40
which sees the city's World Farms collection of pre-Raphaelite art going on display.
02:46
The collection celebrates Birmingham's historic importance as the centre of arts and crafts,
02:51
definitely something to inspire the little ones. This list only scratches the surface,
02:56
there are all sorts of options across the region for families to have a great outing together.
