00:02 for Sussex World and this is our daily news bulletin where I

00:05 walk you through our top stories across both East and West

00:08 Sussex today. A Facebook group in Hastings is tackling the

00:12 issue of potholes in and around the town centre this week. It

00:16 was formed nearly two weeks ago, excuse me, and the group already

00:19 has nearly 600 members. Participants say that they've

00:23 been left with eye watering bills after potholes have

00:26 damaged their cars and that there are plenty of potholes in

00:28 and around the area leading up to Conquest Hospital.

00:31 Participants are encouraged to share the locations and size

00:37 and photographs of the potholes in a bid to get the council to

00:40 take action and start removing them. An open funeral is being

00:45 held to honour Derek Howell who formed the award winning Townie

00:49 Nursery in 1977. He passed away recently aged 97 and the

00:54 funeral will take place on Wednesday January 31st in Havant.

00:58 Mourners are expected to turn out in force to pay their

01:01 respects to a man who brought an awful lot to his community.

01:04 11 year old Kaylee has completed her 100th park run, Sussex World

01:09 has reported. The Horsham runner has taken part in park runs at

01:14 over 76 locations across the country and she has 182 junior

01:20 park runs to her name. She started her journey in 2018 and

01:24 uses it to supplement her boxing training at Horsham Boxing Club.

01:28 Really, really best of luck to her. She sounds like she's
