00:16 Hasli Ikwan Arifzul Hasli, Nohidayah Mahadi and Nohshazrina Mohamadzomri pleaded not guilty

00:22 after the charge was read out before Sessions Court Judge Siti Aminah Ghazali.

00:27 According to the charge sheet, the three allegedly advertised sexual services on X, which a reasonable

00:33 person would understand as prostitution.

00:35 The offence was allegedly committed at the CID's Anti-Wise, Gambling and Secret Societies

00:40 Division Office, Bukit Amat, at 10.10am on January 16.

00:47 They were charged under Section 372(1)(e) of the Penal Code with Prostitution, read

00:53 together with Section 34 of the same code, which carries a sentence of up to 15 years

00:58 jail, whipping and a fine upon conviction.

01:01 Deputy Public Prosecutor Nizwan Abdul Latif did not offer bail on grounds that the accused

01:07 were charged with a non-bailable offence and taking into consideration public interest.

01:12 He said the accused were not a flight risk as they were locals and have families here.

01:17 Judge Siti Aminah then allowed bail at 10,000 ringgit with one surety for each of the accused.
