00:14 However, surprisingly, they have made some pretty famous celebrity allies as well.

00:19 So let's take a look at some of the most famous Hollywood friends of Meghan Markle

00:23 and Prince Harry.

00:24 Wow, you're pretty.

00:25 Good, you've hit on me.

00:26 We can get it out of the way that I'm not interested.

00:27 No, I'm sorry.

00:28 I wasn't hitting on you.

00:31 Right off the top we have Beyonce and Jay Z.

00:34 So Beyonce and Jay Z, they pretty much formed a more recent than not relationship with Harry

00:40 and Meghan.

00:41 And they knew about each other from before, but they didn't really officially meet until

00:48 Jay Z and Beyonce attended the London opening of the Lion King back in 2019.

01:01 And during their first meeting on the red carpet there, that's when Beyonce reportedly

01:06 offered some parenting advice to the new parents at the time, Harry and Meghan, which she highlighted

01:12 the importance of them as a couple, just making sure that they take time for themselves now

01:17 that they introduced a child into the world.

01:24 Next up we have Oprah.

01:25 Oprah attended Meghan and Harry's 2018 wedding.

01:28 And while we're not necessarily certain how their friendship began, it's clear that she's

01:32 been a pillar of support since they stepped back from their royal duties.

02:15 Concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born.

02:20 But Oprah also downplayed her role humbly with Meghan and Harry in terms of how she

02:27 And she said that they don't really need her to make decisions for them and their family

02:33 because she wishes them all the best and knows that they can do it themselves.

02:38 With that said though, there have been some reports saying that Oprah, yeah, has been

02:41 distancing herself from Harry and Meghan just because of the drama surrounding them.

02:45 From there, let's move on to Elton John.

02:47 Elton John, the legendary British singer, is reportedly a loyal friend.

02:52 Having known the royal family since the 1970s, he shares a deep connection with Princess

02:56 Diana, which is Harry's late mother.

02:59 Believing that intrusive tabloid press contributed to Diana's tragic passing, Elton John has

03:04 been a vocal advocate for Prince Harry and Meghan.

03:07 And also, in response to media criticism of their departure from royal duties, he took

03:13 to social media and this is what he had to say in his own words.

03:17 "I highly respect and applaud both Harry and Meghan's commitment to charity and I'm

03:22 calling on the press to cease these relentless and untrue assassinations on their character

03:29 that are spiritually crafted on an almost daily basis."

03:33 The next friend Meghan and Harry have is Serena Williams.

03:35 Of course, she is the renowned tennis star.

03:39 They first met back in 2014 at a charity event and quickly formed a strong friendship.

03:44 Over the years, they maintained a close friendship, supporting each other through thick and thin.

03:49 And Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian were present at their royal wedding

03:55 and hosted Meghan Markle's baby shower in New York City in 2019.

04:05 Lilibet, there's definitely a whole lot of opportunities for them to have some celebrity

04:18 And by the way, Harry and Meghan have expressed their desire to broaden their humanitarian

04:22 efforts and who better to guide them than their friends Amal Clooney.

04:33 As a matter of fact, even King Charles himself honored Amal Clooney by naming an award after

04:38 her, which was a sign of their close ties to both the royal family as well as Hollywood.

04:48 They first connected with Meghan and Harry at a charity event pre-marriage, and their

04:52 friendship has endured, allegedly endured anyways.

04:57 The Cloonies attended the royal wedding and also joined the after-party at Frogmore Cottage.

05:02 And since that time, Harry and Meghan have been enjoying some vacations at the Cloonies'

05:08 But yeah, there have been some recent reports suggesting that the Cloonies also are trying

05:13 to keep their distance from Meghan and Harry because of all the controversy that they've

05:25 He's a prominent figure in Hollywood with an extensive track record in film production

05:29 as well as stage plays.

05:31 And he is a valuable resource for Harry and Meghan as they venture into filmmaking.

05:36 Meghan and Prince Harry have secured deals with Netflix, as we all know, and they've

05:40 established their own production company.

05:43 And they're gearing up for even more documentary and film projects, maybe even TV shows.

05:53 And Tyler Perry likely has provided them with some mentoring and support in their film endeavors.

05:59 One notable sign of their friendship also was when he graciously allowed Harry and Meghan

06:04 to use one of his LA homes when they were trying to figure out their own living arrangements

06:09 while they transitioned to life in California.

06:12 Priyanka Chopra is also another good friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

06:16 She's a Bollywood superstar turned Hollywood superstar.

06:20 And Meghan and Priyanka Chopra first crossed paths back in 2016 at a Women in Television

06:25 event and that's where they shared passions for acting and philanthropy and that sparked

06:31 a lasting friendship.

06:32 And since then, Priyanka Chopra has been a friend to Meghan.

06:35 Priyanka Chopra applauds Meghan Markle's involvement in organizations such as World

06:40 Vision and One Young World, along with her focus on environmental issues.

06:45 And having been present at the royal wedding and Meghan's baby shower, Priyanka Chopra

06:50 continues to be a supportive friend, even though Meghan couldn't attend her December

06:55 2018 wedding to Nick Jonas.

06:58 Funnyman and TV host James Corden comes next.

07:01 He shares a long-standing friendship with Prince Harry and was even a guest at his wedding.

07:06 Prince Harry went a step further and requested that James Corden deliver a comedic performance

07:11 at the private reception held at Frogmore Cottage.

07:15 And James, of course, gladly entertained the reception after he got the invite.

07:20 Getting into the political arena, we have Michelle Obama.

07:23 Yeah, it appears that the Royal Sussexes have a connection with the Obamas, with Meghan

07:28 Markle and the former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, having met to discuss

07:33 women's empowerment issues.

07:35 Both of them also spoke at the Girl Up event.

07:39 And the royal couple and the first couple share a Hollywood connection, as they have

07:44 the same speaking agent.

07:46 Interesting.

07:47 By the way, this connection here also fueled some speculation that Meghan could actually

07:52 be planning to enter politics in the not-too-distant future.

07:57 And lastly, Meghan has the support of her Suits castmates.

08:28 And even Patrick J. Abrams, who played her love interest Mike Ross on the show Suits,

08:33 also defended Meghan Markle publicly after she faced a ton of backlash for speaking out

08:39 against the royal family.

08:48 As reports come out, it looks like they may be losing some friends, but they seem to be

08:54 creating strong bonds with certain celebrities and they seem to be lasting the test of time.
