Supreme Court Allows Biden Administration to Remove Razor Wire at US-Mexico Border
  • 3 months ago
The Supreme Court voted 5-4 to allow the Biden administration to remove razor wire installed by Texas along parts of the US-Mexico border near Eagle Pass. This lifts a lower court injunction that had barred the federal government from removing the razor wire deployed by Texas National Guard troops. The razor wire was obstructing the Border Patrol's ability to process migrants and help those in distress, according to the Biden administration. But Texas argued the wire deters illegal crossings. Groups of migrants have still been crossing underneath, sometimes getting cut.
