Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured when shots were fired at a car in Yardley on Saturday. The victims injuries are said to not be life threatening. The incident came shortly after 6pm on the Coventry Road. Police have been carrying out enquiries.

Footage has been released showing a driver who led police on an 80 mile per hour chase before asking officers what they thought of his driving. Tariq Zaman has been jailed for 20 months following the ten minute chase and has been banned from driving for 34 months.

The Met Office has placed two more Yellow Weather Warnings over Birmingham for Storm Jocelyn as strong winds are expected to cause localised disruption. Wind gusts of up to 43 miles per hourare forecast with at least 80% chance of rain.
