National Girl Child Day is observed in India on January 24 annually. The day aims to raise awareness about the rights, health, education & overall well-being of girls in the nation. The day also aims to spread awareness about inequalities faced by girls in the country and promote. On this day, achievements of girls in various fields are highlighted. National Girl Child Day 2024 will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 24. The day was initiated by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2008 to raise awareness about the rights of girls.
