Russia rejects peace plans, clashes with US, Ukraine

Russia's foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov, rejects any peace plan supported by Ukraine and the West during a UN meeting, asserting that Ukrainian forces are ineffective in battling Russia. Lavrov accused Ukraine and its Western backers of using peace plans as a guise to prolong the war and secure funds from Western taxpayers, while China warned that global chaos could adversely impact the slowing global economy.
