Russian Missile Strike Kills Two - Ukraine Claims Raids Across Dnipro, Slams Macron's Peace Plans

Russian troops launched an S-300 missile at the city centre of Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast, killing at least 2 people on April 25. Ukrainian forces on the western side of the Dnipro river are reportedly carrying out frequent raids on the eastern bank near Kherson. The Institute for the Study of War says the Ukrainian military has made "marginal gains" south of Kreminna in Luhansk Oblast as of April 24. Russian troops are reportedly disguising themselves with “anti-thermal blankets” to evade detection by Ukrainian forces in Donetsk.
Meanwhile, Putin ally Dmitry Medvedev has warned that the world was probably on the verge of a new world war. Medvedev said nuclear weapons are a key to Russia’s survival and the world should not underestimate Moscow’s readiness to use them. The President of Lithuania has said that "red lines" regarding military aid to Ukraine must be crossed to ensure victory against Russia. Czech, Polish, Slovak leaders have written a letter to NATO calling for Ukraine's postwar security guarantees.
