Federal government to consider new laws for AI development

Australian technology companies may be asked to label content generated by artificial intelligence as part of the Federal government's response to high-risk AI. Under the proposal, the technology could require mandatory safeguards and independent testing before and after release. Dedicated roles could also be mandated for organisations using high risk AI.
