00:00 The mystery behind the person dressed as a troll at the 2024 Emmy Awards has been solved.
00:05 One 2024 Emmy Awards attendee went completely viral for their outfit,
00:10 and although it wasn't necessarily chic, it was show-stopping.
00:14 We now know that the Emmy's troll is none other than RuPaul's Drag Race alum Princess Poppy.
00:19 RuPaul's Drag Race took home the award for Outstanding Reality Competition Program,
00:23 but based on Poppy's reasoning for her look, she may be unimpressed.
00:26 When asked by the Los Angeles Times why she chose to attend the Emmys in Goblin Garb,
00:31 Princess Poppy shared, "I wanted to take everything that is rude and ugly about the
00:35 usual decorum of awards and do the complete opposite. I wanted to be a troll, to literally
00:41 and figuratively troll the Emmys. The whole purpose of doing this is a way to showcase
00:45 that the rules of fashion and the rules of beauty and blah, I think it's more beautiful
00:50 to show up like this than to show up how you normally would at an awards show."
