लोहड़ी सिख और पंजाबी समुदाय का प्रमुख पर्व है. लोहड़ी का पर्व किसानों के लिए विशेष महत्व रखता है, खेतों की अच्छी फसल के लिए लोग लोहड़ी की अग्नि में मूंगफली, पॉपकॉर्न, रेवड़ियां डालकर अग्नि और सूर्य देव का आभार प्रकट करते है. वहीं लोग लोहड़ी के पावन अवसर पर अपनों को खास संदेश भेजकर इस त्योहार की बधाई देते है.
