00:04 West. A young man was arrested after a high-speed

00:07 police chase through Tralee and Leyland on Thursday afternoon. Unmarked police cars led

00:12 the chase as the fleet of police pursued a stolen Peugeot 308 for miles before forcing

00:17 the driver to a stop using a stinger outside Tesco Express in Turpin Green Lane, Leyland.

00:22 Some drivers were hit by the reckless driver of the stolen car, whilst others reported

00:26 hair raising near misses as police frantically pursued the out-of-control Peugeot at high

00:30 speed. The chase ended with the driver encircled

00:33 by the undercover TacOps squad as a young man was dragged out of the burnt orange Peugeot

00:37 and placed in handcuffs. The driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous

00:41 driving and burglary. He was led into the back of a police van whilst officers diverted

00:45 traffic down Bent Lane. Two other boys, aged 16 and 17, and a 19-year-old man were later

00:50 arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken into custody.

00:55 A Range Rover crashed into a tram on Blackpool Promenade at 2.44pm on Thursday afternoon.

01:01 The incident happened near the Pleasure Beach. Trams were running only to the Pleasure Beach

01:04 during the incident. Lancashire Police said "We were called at

01:08 2.44pm on 11th January to New South Promenade, Blackpool to report that a tram had collided

01:14 with a vehicle and come off the tracks. Emergency services have attended the scene."

01:20 A Morcambe mum was thanked for the kindness of strangers after her truck-obsessed son

01:24 was treated to a surprise visit to a Lancashire haulage firm.

01:27 8-year-old Luca Mori has cerebral palsy, which has caused him left-sided weakness and very

01:32 mild learning difficulties. Since he was a baby, Luca has been fascinated

01:36 by keys of any kind, especially car or truck keys, and as a result he also developed an

01:40 obsession for trucks. Luca, who goes to Lancaster Road School, spends

01:45 hours learning about trucks any way he can, including watching YouTube videos, and is

01:49 a big fan of Trucker Tim. And now, thanks to the generosity shown by

01:53 a team of staff at SJ Barge haulage firm in Lancaster, Luca is able to live out a dream

01:58 and ride in one of their trucks just before Christmas.

02:03 Around 250 objectors to a proposed wedding venue on Halifax Road in Nelson met recently

02:08 at Briarcliffe Community Centre to air their concerns.

02:12 Attendees at the meeting included members of Briarcliffe Parish Council and Burnley

02:15 Borough Council, as well as the prospective Labour candidate for the newly formed Burnley

02:45 A Wigan floristry shop has been put up for sale after almost 16 years in business. Kerry

02:50 Doherty opened Wildflowers in 2008, falling in love with floral arrangement when she was

02:55 looking for a creative outlet after the birth of her son, Sam. She quickly gave up her job

03:00 in banking to embark on a national certificate in floristry at the Welsh College of Horticulture

03:05 and a degree in floral design at Mysco College. Returning to her hometown of Wigan, she opened

03:10 Wildflowers in the final year of her studies, originally renting the space in Standish before

03:14 buying it outright. In December 2019, they opened a custom-built workshop space above

03:20 the flower shop for various classes and introduced a programme of events throughout 2023. However,

03:26 after almost 16 years in business, Kerry has decided to put her business up for sale in

03:30 a bid to pursue other ventures. And now for the weather. Across Lancashire,

03:36 it will be dry but cloudy throughout the day and night, with highs of around 5 degrees.
