Trump Accused Of Being 'Not Interested' To Stop Jan 6th, According To New Details In Special Counsel Jack Smith's Case
  • 4 months ago
Special Counsel Jack Smith's team has uncovered new details about Trump's refusal to help stop the Jan. 6 Capitol attack as he watched TV in the White House. Dan Scavino, Trump's longtime aide, told investigators Trump was "just not interested" in doing more to stop the violence. When told then-Vice President Mike Pence had to be rushed to a secure location, Trump responded, "So what?" according to former Trump aide Nick Luna. Scavino said Trump was "very angry" but not at the rioters, rather that the election was "stolen."
