FDA Authorizes Florida to Import Bulk Drugs From Canada
  • 4 months ago
This is the first time that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved such a program in the state, CBS News reports. The approval will likely make it easier for other states to request similar permissions to get prescriptions from Canada, where drug prices are significantly cheaper. Drug classes that Florida requested include prescriptions "for asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, diabetes, HIV and AIDS, and mental illness," CBS News reports.
