Owner occupiers in defective Mascot Towers given debt forgiveness proposal

It's been a long-running nightmare. Now owner-occupiers at Sydney’s defect-ridden Mascot Towers might finally have a way out. The building commissioner has brokered a deal that would include some level of mortgage and strata debt-forgiveness. He says there will be 'no winners' under the proposal but insists it's the best offer on the table.
