00:00 An intriguing development has taken place involving the Hindu Mahasabha President Swami
00:06 Chakrapani and the auction of fugitive global terrorist Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar's ancestral
00:11 properties.
00:12 Swami Chakrapani has declared his intention to bid for four ancestral properties of Dawood
00:17 Ibrahim in an auction scheduled for Friday in Mumbai.
00:21 These properties, including a bungalow, mango orchards and agricultural plots in Mumbake
00:26 and lote villages of Khed Taluka in Ratnagiri, were seized under the Smugglers and Foreign
00:32 Exchange Manipulators for Feature of Property Act or SAFEMA.
00:37 The total valuation of these properties is worth Rs 19 lakh.
00:42 As per reports, Swami Chakrapani has ambitious plans for these seized properties.
00:46 He aims to build a grand temple dedicated to Lord of Justice Chitragupta along with
00:51 Lord Shiva and Ramasita temples.
00:53 Swami Chakrapani said, "The purpose of establishing Lord Chitragupta is to create awareness of
00:59 justice for our crimes and misdeeds.
01:02 Dawood Ibrahim betrayed India, killed innocent people and plotted bomb blasts.
01:06 He will be punished for his crime by Lord Chitragupta."
01:10 The auction scheduled for Friday will see a competitive bidding process.
01:14 The properties were registered in the name of Dawood's mother, Amina B. Notably, Dawood
01:18 Ibrahim lived in Mumbake village before moving to Mumbai in 1983.
01:22 According to reports on the auction, a reserve price of Rs 9.5 lakh was levied for an agricultural
01:28 plot and Rs 8 lakh for another farmland, both located in Mumbake village.
01:33 Another property, including a bungalow with a mango orchard, is in adjacent Lotte village.
01:39 This isn't the first time authorities have auctioned properties linked to Dawood Ibrahim.
01:42 In the past, the government has identified and auctioned several properties, including
01:46 a restaurant, six flats and a guest house, fetching significant sums.
01:51 In December 2020, Dawood Ibrahim's assets in Ratnagiri were auctioned for Rs 1.10 crore
01:57 and earlier, a 600-square-feet flat in Nagpada was auctioned for Rs 1.80 crore in April 2019.
02:04 The auction of Dawood Ibrahim's properties continues to attract attention, with Swami
02:09 Chakrapani's bid adding a unique twist by envisioning the construction of a temple dedicated
02:14 to justice on these contested grounds.
