00:00 I wasn't even born until three years after Dr. King delivered his great dream to the nation.

00:09 I didn't have to endure separate drinking fountains, separate bathrooms, or eat in the back of a restaurant because of the color of my skin.

00:18 I've never had to participate in a boycott or sit in for my freedom.

00:25 I've had no living room civil rights meetings, no water holes knocking me down, no biting dogs tearing at my legs,

00:34 or any cocktail bombs being thrown into my home in my quest for freedom.

00:41 And that was his dream, that this be my reality.

00:49 You see, I'm the beneficiary of a dream spoken for, fought for, suffered for, prayed for, and died for.

00:58 And the journey is still underway.

01:01 And we still have so much work that we have to do.

01:06 Yes, we own homes now, build businesses, experience fame, and coexist together as brothers and sisters because of the dream, part one.

01:16 And now it's time for the dream, part two.

01:22 Recognizing as blacks, whites, Latinos, Asians, Jews, and Gentiles, Muslims, Protestants, and Catholics,

01:30 that though there are many barriers that we've broken through, we still have hungry mothers, homeless fathers, and undereducated children.

01:40 So now, my friends, it's time for the dream, part two.

01:46 In this dream, there's no playing small, no sleeping on the job, because like me, there's an unborn child somewhere that's counting on you.

01:58 This dream requires you to wake up, stand up, speak up, hurry up, catch up, stay prayed up, and oh yeah, you have to show up.

02:12 And in your own brilliance, in your own unique brilliance, do whatever you can do.

02:22 Because Dr. King handled the dream, part one.

02:28 And now it's up to you and I to handle what? The dream, part two.
