AirTags used to track stolen luggage from Charlotte airport to suspect’s home

A Miami family's Christmas vacation to North Carolina took an unexpected turn when their luggage went missing at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Using an AirTag hidden in the stolen suitcase, the Gavino family tracked it to a Gastonia neighborhood. The AirTag's signal led them to a house, where police discovered not only their belongings but also those of another victim. Despite losing most of their items, the Gavino family's detective work resulted in the arrest of the suspect, facing charges of theft and drug offenses.
