All Christmas festivities have been cancelled in Bethlehem in the West Bank to show solidarity towards the people of Gaza.

00:14 the usual Christmas tree. The Bethlehem municipalities say they are in mourning.

00:26 because the feeling in Bethlehem, we feel that we are in mourning. We feel very sad
00:33 as we are an essential part of the Palestinian community.
00:38 A similar installation is set in Lutheran Church, where baby Jesus, wrapped in a Palestinian
00:43 checkered scarf, lies on a pile of rubble. According to local authorities, no tourists
00:49 will be able to visit Bethlehem as the city has been isolated since October 7th. Only
00:54 place for religious ceremonies and prayers is left.
