7 Gadgets Travel Essentials

00:00 I think we can all agree the worst part of traveling is packing. I personally hate packing,

00:05 but I know that if I have my seven tech travel essentials with me, I'm gonna have a successful

00:09 trip. And it all starts with having a great suitcase. My go-to carry-on bag is the Samsara

00:15 SmartTag Luggage Carry-on. It's the perfect size, and the one I actually have here is a

00:21 limited edition collaboration with T-Mobile. And what's cool about it is it has two really helpful

00:26 smart features. The first of those is actually the first time I've seen anything quite like this in a

00:31 suitcase. It has a portable power bank that comes with it and fits into the top of the suitcase,

00:37 but that's not the special feature. It's that it actually has wireless charging through this

00:41 little slot right here. And the second smart feature is that it comes with an air tag that

00:46 you clip inside of the smart suitcase. That's actually the hallmark feature of the standard

00:51 Samsara carry-on. But what's amazing about that is if my suitcase were to get separated from me,

00:57 I'd always be able to track it down. This carry-on costs $325, and I definitely recommend it if

01:03 you're in the market for a new suitcase. Otherwise, if you have a carry-on you already love, you could

01:08 just add a $29 air tag to it and have these same tracking functionalities. Next up are the Sony

01:16 Mark Vs, and these have been on every single trip with me since I've gotten them. They cost $399,

01:21 and if you travel a lot, a pair of noise-canceling headphones is a non-negotiable.

01:26 What I love about the Mark Vs in particular is that they have 30 hours of battery life,

01:30 which is usually plenty for my trips, and they come with a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, which

01:35 I always need for the plane. And as a bonus, when the headphones are out of the case, the case

01:39 actually squishes flat to save room in my bag. My travel usually includes a lot of photography and

01:48 content creation, but I don't always have the luxury of carrying around a lot of equipment

01:52 with me. That's why I cannot live without the Joby Beamo MagSafe ring light. This ring light

01:57 attaches to the back of my iPhone via MagSafe, so it's always on standby for use. It even features

02:02 a compact mirror, so I can check out how I look or touch up my makeup. It costs $50 and has about

02:08 four hours of battery life, which I could recharge with USB-C. And speaking of charging,

02:14 my next travel essential that I don't think I would survive without is my cord organizer.

02:20 I literally don't know what I did before I had a cord organizer, because this keeps all of my

02:25 cords untangled in one place, and it's also a great way to store like my little gadgets.

02:29 I have a GoPro here for my trip, and this organizer specifically is from a brand called

02:35 BagSmart, and it's $20 on Amazon. While I have this open, I'm gonna pack my next travel essential,

02:42 and it's actually a two-for-one. I usually travel with two portable chargers. The first is the Apple

02:48 MagSafe charger, which costs $99, and the second is this very large charging brick from a brand

02:54 called RavPower. I think I paid about $70, but I've had this thing for years. This is exclusively

02:59 for my iPhone, while I use this for charging my computer or Apple Watch, because I never know

03:04 what the charging situation is gonna be like at the airport or in the hotel. This travel essential

03:11 is a bit more personal to me. Not only do I always travel with an Apple Watch so that I'm connected

03:16 and have personal safety features on my wrist, but I also usually have a spare set of Apple Watch

03:22 bands with me. I do this because it's an easy way to accessorize for different occasions without

03:26 having to bring a lot of different jewelry with me, and I even try to match it to my dresses. So

03:31 I have a lot of blue dresses packed, so I have a blue $60 strap from Nomad coming with me on this

03:36 trip. Finally, the travel essential that I'm always most excited to tell people about is the Nintendo

03:43 Switch Lite. I was a day one adopter of the Switch Lite, and I still love it all these years later.

03:48 It's better for me than the regular Switch because it's just that much more portable and saves space

03:52 in my bag. And the best part is that I can download as many games as I want. I'm currently replaying

03:57 Breath of the Wild because everyone knows that's a long game and it's the perfect way to pass

04:02 time on a flight. The Switch Lite costs $199. The clear case I have in it costs about $14,
