Wednesbury town centre area sealed off by police after reports of stabbing

Black Country residents have been urged to avoid an area following a police incident. Reporter Daniel Walton is at the scene.

00:04 Market. As you can see the police are putting in place a large boarding. This is due to

00:09 a serious stabbing that took place overnight. Press release that we got from West Burlings

00:13 Ambulance Service says that the attack happened around about 12.01 this morning, early in

00:18 the morning. So far we know that one man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

00:22 That's all we've heard so far. We're still waiting to hear back from West Burlings Police

00:26 on if anybody's been caught in relation to the incident. The incident has caused a large

00:31 bit of ruckus across the road. It's caused a fair bit of traffic in the rush hours which

00:36 seems to be easing off now. We're just waiting to hear back from the police on what's going

00:40 on further.
