Serbians cast their votes on Sunday in a sudden election seen as President Aleksandar Vucic's bid to secure another four-year term for his populist Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), following a decline in popularity due to two recent mass shootings. According to the CeSID-IPSOS pollsters, the turnout by 2 p.m. (1300 GMT) stood at 32.3%, an increase from 30.4% during the April 2022 election. A total of 18 parties and alliances are competing for the support of the 6.5 million-strong electorate for 250 parliamentary seats, with the threshold for entry set at 3% of votes. Polls are set to close at 8pm
